Sophat Suong has worked at Orthotic Solutions since 2012 as a Prosthetics/Orthotics Technician and Consultant. His career began in 1992, where he gained valuable experience working as a technician treating Cambodians that were in need of prosthetic care resulting from the Vietnam war. During this time he was also attending school and eventually graduated from the Internal School of Prosthetics and Orthotics Category II. Additionally, from 1992 – 2005, he worked as a lecture assistant while in Cambodia.
In 2005 he moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand where worked as an expatriate assistant for an education seminar to instruct technicians on casting, cast modification and fabrication of lower/upper limb prosthetics. He also volunteered to work with a mobile unit to provide Prosthetics to patients who were unable to come to the clinic. In 2007-2010 he worked in Bangkok, Thailand, as a clinical mentor assistant to provide the practical demonstration of patient care during the clinical placement of students. He eventually moved to the United States and became a valuable member of Orthotic Solutions team.
